This precipitation-hardening 600 stainless steel alloy can be heat-treated to high strength levels. When annealed and solution-treated, this alloy has superior resistance to oxide scaling.

Features

Good oxidation, carburization and nitriding resistance

Resistance to stress corrosion cracks at elevated temperatures

Applications

Used in circuitry of nuclear reactors, thermocouple sheathing in challenging atmospheres, chemical production, and heat treatment applications, 600 Stainless Steel is the superior choice when resistance to aggressive chemical compounds is a factor.
